I just wanted to say a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all on behalf of us all here in the pro shop. This will be our last newsletter of this year and we will deliver you our weekly round-up of the happenings at the club once again on the 8th January. I also wanted to say thank you to all of you who have dropped in gifts and cards, you generosity is greatly appreciated not only now but all year round. I want to thank you all for all your support over the last 12 months. The shop will remain open other than Christmas Day for any last minute gifts you may be looking for! I am looking forward to another exciting golfing year for us all in 2016.

Tuesday 8th December

This week's ladies competition was a Stableford played over 13 holes which had 40 ladies competing. The overall winner was Lady Captain Jean Warburton who had a great score of 27 Points. Runner up went to Sue Murphy who had 25 Points. Third place went to Anne Hewitson who also had a score of 25 Points but she lost out on a card playoff to Sue. Fourth place went to Pauline Cowell who had 24 Points and beat two other ladies on a card playoff.

Thursday 10th December

Unfortunately this week's Thursday competition had to be cancelled as the course was closed due to it being too wet.

Saturday 12th December

This Saturday's competition was due to be the Betterball Stableford Christmas Special but this also had to be cancelled due to torrential rain for most of the day. This competition had been rescheduled for this Saturday instead.

Raffle reminder

Just to remind you that we still have our New Year Raffle tickets with fantastic prizes up for grabs still available from the shop at £1 each. The draw this year will take place in January and the prize winners will be posted in the shop following the draw. Good luck to everyone.
