Tuesday 5th January

33 ladies competed in a Bonus Stableford competition, with double points available on the Par 5's, this week held over 13 holes. The winner was Rhona Banks who managed a score of 38 Points. Runner up spot went to Liz Faulkner who had a score of 37 Points. Third place went to Pam White who had 35 Points.

Thursday 7th January

This week's Thursday competition had 34 entrants with 16 holes being played on temporary greens due to the damp weather we have had recently! The winner was Ian Potter who managed a great score of 40 Points to win by 3 points and reduce his winter Thursday handicap down to 21.0. Runner up went to Jon Barker who had 37 Points to reduce his Thursday winter handicap down to 18.7. Third place went to Alan Ellis who had 36 Points to reduce his Thursday winter handicap down to 8.4. Fourth place went to Darren Jones who had 35 Points and took it on a card playoff. Fifth place went to Mike Alcock who also had 35 Points but did enough on a card playoff to beat one other player into the prizes.

Saturday 10th January

This week's Saturday competition was a Betterball Stableford with 112 players competing after heavy rain put a few off in the morning and reduced it to a 16 hole competition on temporary greens! The winning pair were Steve Wallis & John Goulding who had a great score of 43 Points to win on a card playoff. Runner up spot was taken by Stuart Monro & Jonathan Thompson who also had a score of 43 Points but they lost out on 1st prize on a card playoff. Third place went to the team of Ron Birchall & Iain Gourlay who had 42 Points. Fourth spot went to the team of James Boyd & Dennis Rogers who had a score of 41 Points over the 16 holes. The fifth and final spot went to Stan Rhodes & Ian Sleigh who had 40 Points and did enough on the back nine to beat three other teams into the prizes.
