Hello golfers,

 

We are pleased to announce that the ladies group coaching with Ben is back. 

This has been extremely popular in the past and dates are available throughout March, April, May & June. Sessions are available on all areas of the game so whether you are looking to improve your putting, chip it closer, get it out of the bunkers every time or driver it further then sign up early to avoid disappointment. 

Each session is £12.50 including a free coffee or book 3 for £30 - saving you £7.50.

Signup sheets are now available in the ladies locker room so don't miss out!


 

Tuesday 1st March 

Unfortunately this week was due to be the Lady Captain's Drive In, however due to heavy rain the competition was abandoned. Lady Captain Chris Collier did still do her drive in managing to smash her drive 180 yards! Well done Chris and all the best for the coming year. 

Thursday 3rd March 

This week's Thursday competition had 54 players competing over 17 holes. The winner was Arthur Brown who managed a great score of 44 Points to win by 3 points! This reduced Arthur's winter Thursday handicap down to 22.6. Runner up went to Ron Birchall who had 41 Points which reduced his winter Thursday handicap down to 8.0. Third place went to Dave Moston who had a score of 40 Points. This reduced his winter Thursday handicap down to 8.9. Fourth place went to Tony Salt who had also had 40 Points after losing out on a card playoff. Fifth place went to Steve Ball who had 39 Points beating Lester Scott into the prizes. 

Saturday 27th February 

This week's Saturday competition was an Accumulator Stableford with 162 players competing over 16 holes. The winning team was Geoff Cox, Dave Moston, Pete Hutchinson & Mike Durkin who had a score of 80 Points to win by one point. 

The runners up were the team of Andy Gordon, Paul McGarry, Howard Banister & Darren Jones who had a score of 79 Points. Third place went to Steve Daniels, Tony Shaw, Mike Smith & Derek Evans who had 78 Points. Fourth place went to Bob Platt, John Gorman, Kevin P O'Neill & Noel Kelly who also had 78 Points but lost out on a card playoff. 

Congratulations go to Malcolm Haigh who had a Hole in One on the 16th hole.
