Tuesday 3rd May

This week's ladies competition was the Medal & Bunty Booth with 60 players competing. The winner of Division 1 was Jennifer Hart who had a score of 86 - 11 = 75 Nett to reduce her handicap down to 10.9. Runner up went to Anne Smith who had a score of 94 - 17 = 77 Nett. 

The winner of Division 2 went to Edwina Greenwood who had a score of 102 - 26 = 76 Nett. Runner up went to Dilys Peake who had a score of 104 - 24 = 80 Nett. The winner of Division 3 was Tricia Jones who had a score of 114 - 30 = 84 Nett to win by two shots. The runner up was Jill Evans who had a score of 118 - 32 = 86 Nett. 

The winner of the nine hole competition was Jean Cordwell who had 12 Points to beat Mabel Atkinson on a card playoff.

Thursday 5th May

This week's Thursday Yellow tee Stableford had 81 players competing. The winner was Mark Hunter who had a score of 41 Points to win on a card playoff to reduce his handicap down to 8.8. Runner up was Steve Carroll who also had 41 Points to miss out on a card playoff and reduce his handicap down to 5.7. Third place went to Ron Hewitson who also had 41 Points to miss out on a card playoff. Fourth place went to Mark Wilding who had 40 Points to reduce his handicap down to 3.6. Fifth place went to Harry Blower who also had 40 Points to miss out on the card playoff but reduce his handicap down to 13.3. The winner of the 9 hole Stableford competition was Mr Captain Bill Hart who had 18 Points.

Saturday 7th May

This week's Saturday competition was the Monthly Medal Isherwood Qualifier with a field of 190 players competing. This competition was also a Lombard qualifier with the winner (of those that entered to qualify) partnering Ben Spanton at Formby GC on 21st July. 

The winner of Division 1 was Paul Swift who had a fantastic score of 68 - 6 = 62 Nett with a 5 under gross back nine! An excellent score from Paul who reduced his handicap down to 4.5 following this. Runner up spot was taken by Jake Hibbert who had a very good score of 68 - 4 = 64 Nett. Jake reduced his handicap down to 2.8 following this. Third place went to Clive Aldred who had a score of 78 - 11 = 67 Nett to reduce his handicap down to 9.8. Fourth place went to Ray Moor who had a score of 80 - 12 = 68 Nett to reduce his handicap down to 10.9. 

The winner of Division 2 was Terry Taylor who had a great score of 85 - 18 = 67 Nett to reduce his handicap down to 16.2. Runner up spot went to Peter Hutchinson who had an 81 - 13 = 68 Nett to reduce his handicap down to 11.6. Third place went to John Edelston who had a score of 88 - 18 = 70 Nett to reduce his handicap down to 17.3. Fourth place went to Andy Mason who had a score of 85 - 13 = 72 Nett to reduce his handicap down to 12.7. The winner out of the Lombard entrants was Terry Taylor who will partner Ben in a PGA Pro-Am at Formby GC in July.
