Competition news 

Tuesday 21st June 

This ladies competition was a Stableford and there were 48 ladies competing. The winner of Division 1 was Judith Brown who won by one point with a score of 37 Points. Winner of Division 2 was Alison Donaldson who won by three with 39 Points. Pauline Goulden won the 3rd Division by six with 36 Points. 

Three ladies entered the nine hole individual stableford competition with Jean Cordwell again being the winner with a score of 13 Points.

Thursday 23rd June 

This week saw the playing of the Thursday Cup. 163 players competed which is a record turnout. The winner was Deb Parrington who had a great score of 89-24 for a 65 nett to win by two shots and to reduce his handicap down to 21. Runner up was Guy Hindle who had 67-0=67. Third place went to Tony Marsden 80-13=67.Fourth place went to Roger Richards who had 76-9=67. Fifth place went to Jack Bromley who had 82-15=67. Sixth was Dave Kinder 86-18=68. Seventh was Ben Wallis 71-3=68 and finally in eighth place was Chris Bate 75-6=69.

Saturday 18th June 

This week's Saturday competition was Round 2 of the Captain's Prize. The Overall Winner of Captains Prize was Chris Dunn with a very good 72+66=138 reducing his handicap to 1. Runner up went to Jack Lewis with 71+68=139. Third place was Mike Haselden who shot 67+72= 139. 

Fourth place went to Geoff Cox who had a 79 - 10 = 69 Nett to reduce his handicap down to 9.3. Fifth place went to Guy Hindle who shot a 75+70 =140. Sixth place went to Richard Evans with 73+68=141. Seventh place went to Andrew Bate who had 73+68=141. Eighth place went Mark Tate who had 73+69=142. The winner of Round 1 was David Moreton with nett 69 and the winner of Round 2 was Steve Collier with a nett 65. The Best Gross for the two rounds was won by the up and coming Jake Hibbert with 147.
