Tuesday 29th April

This week's ladies competition was the Irene Mayne Ladies Trophy a medal with 53 ladies taking part. The winner was Gillian Ditchfield with a score of net 70. Runner up was Julia Hesketh with a nett 71. And finally in third place was Liz Faulkner with a nett 75.

Thursday 1st May

This week's Thursday Strokeplay was from the white tees , with 76 players competing. The winner was Brad Read showing some early season form with a gross and a net 68. This reduced his handicap down to +0.8. Runner up was Jake Hibbert with a net 69 playing off an 11 handicap. Third place went to David Alcock with a net 70. Fourth place was decided by a card playoff as both players had a net 71. John Mcglough managed to have a better back nine holes and therefore took fourth place over Dan Young who had to settle for fifth place.

Saturday 3rd May

This Saturday was this year's first Major of the season, the Vice Captains Prize with 198 players being welcomed to the aptly named Vice Bar on the 11th tee for some superb hospitality from our Vice Captain Steve Collier and his wife Chris. If you didn't do better than a net 67 then you were not in the prizes. The winner was Ray Barnard with a fantastic score of 81 Gross 62 Nett. Runner up was a disappointed Charlie Loy after a superb gross 65 nett 64. Third place was Gareth Banks also with a 64 Nett after losing out on a card playoff. Fourth place went to John Leigh who managed a great score of 65 Nett . Fifth place went to Jack Bromley who had a 67 Nett.
