Competition news 

Saturday 17, December 

The men played a Par minus 2 Stableford. Due to early morning fog the competition was reduced to two nine hole competitions. The winners of the front nine were Iain Gourlay, Tony Shaw, John Mcglough and Andy Gordon with 45 points. 

Second were Jack Bromley, Mathew Bromley, John Isherwood and Graham Scholes with 44 points. The winners of the back nine were Julian Hardiman, James Garside, Richard Ryves and Jonathan Thompson with 43 points on a card play off. Second were Gareth Banks, Phil Scott, Gareth Walter and Andrew Bate also with 43 points.


Tuesday 20, December 

This ladies competition was a Winter Cup qualifier played over 13 holes, 41 players took part. The winner was Ann Taylor with 28 points. In second place was Anne Smith with 27 points. Finally in third place was Margaret Marsden with 25 points.


Thursday 22, December 

This weeks competition was a Stableford. 43 players competed. The winner was Ian Sleigh with 42 points. Second was Ken Bradley with 40 points. In third was James Ditchfield with 39 points. Fourth place went to Doug Burke with 39 points. Finally in fifth was Nick Wild with 38 points.


Saturday 24, December 

This weeks competition was a Betterball Stableford over 16 holes. The winners with 40 points were Clive Aldred and John Arber. In second were Andy Gordon and Mike Smith with 39 points. In third were Jerry Hilditch and Paul Harrison with 39 points. In fourth were Brian Acton and Alf Lawton with 39 points. Finally in fifth place were Roger Webster and Anthony Salt with 37 points.


Thursday 29, December 

This weeks competition was a Stableford. 45 players competed. The winner was Deb Parrington with 41 points. Second was Iain Gourlay with 39 points. In third was Phil Rylance with 37 points. Fourth place went to Phil Williams with 37 points. Finally in fifth was Ian Cairns with 35 points.


Saturday 31, December 

This weeks competition was an AmAm Stableford. 127 players competed. The winners were John Craddock, Richard Evans, Phil Scott and Brian Stewart with 85 points. Second were Iain Gourlay, Steve Daniels, Andy Gordon and Ian Cairns with 80 points. In third were Steve Titchard, John Goulding, Andy Prince and Ben Wallis with 80 points. Fourth place went to Mike Goulden, Graham Hartley, Andrew Rimmer and Nick Shannon with 79 points.
