Annual Trip To The Highlands
Last Wednesday I left with a group of members to fly to Inverness. This now annual pilgrimage north is facilitated by the long suffering but much appreciated Mike Alcock. While eleven of us enjoyed the short one hour trip by air to the Highlands, Mike left two days earlier with our clubs ,electric trollies, batteries, chargers and luggage on board his trusty van. We enjoyed rounds at Castle Stuart, Nairn and Royal Dornoch while staying at The Royal Golf Hotel on the first tee at Dornoch. The weather although at times breezy, was very kind to us and three days of competition was hard fought but with the usual banter and tales of woe, great fun. The overall winner for the trip was Peter Smith who will be reported to the handicap committee in due course. Thanks guys for yet another memorable trip North.
