Tuesday, 8 August This ladies’ competition was a stableford with 47 competing. The winner of Division one was Anne Greenhough who managed a good score of 39 points; to reduce her handicap down to 6.2. The runner up was Jean Warburton who had a score of 37 points; to reduce her handicap down to 12.6. The winner of Division two was Shirley Warner who had a score of 36 points. The runner up was Pat Maycock who also had a score of 36 points, which reduced her handicap down to 22.6. The winner of the 9 hole stableford competition was Gillian Ditchfield, who managed to score 20 points to win by eight points. Thursday, 10 August This Thursday competition was a white tee medal with 95 players competing. The winner was Bob Scott who had a great score of 82 – 16 = 66 nett, to win by two shots and reduce his handicap down to 14.2 after receiving an exceptional scoring reduction of 0.5. Runner up was Gary O’Neill who had a score of 75 – 7 = 68 nett, to reduce his handicap down to 6.0 after receiving an exceptional scoring reduction of 0.5. Third place went to Alex Mills who had a score of 78 – 10 = 68 nett, to lose out on a card playoff but reduce his handicap down to 9.0. Fourth place went to Ken Grannell who had an 81 – 12 = 69 nett, to reduce his handicap down to 10.8. Fifth place went to Steve Daniels who had a 74 – 5 = 69 nett, to miss out on a card playoff and reduce his handicap down to 5.1. The winner of the 9 hole stableford competition was Ian Carter who managed to score 19 points, and to win by one point and reduce his handicap down to 15.4. Saturday, 13 August Pro's Day was an amazing success with the day enjoyed by all and the weather played ball for a change! Thursday, 17 August This week’s Thursday Yellow tee Stableford had 96 players competing. The winner was Dave Moston who had a great score of 42 points to win on a card playoff and to reduce his handicap down to 10.4. Runner up was Will Mackay who also had 41 points to lose out on a card playoff. Third place went to Graham Hughes who had 41 points; to reduce his handicap down to 11.6. Fourth place went to Phil Williams who also had 41 points to miss out on a card playoff, but reduces his handicap down to 12.0. Fifth place went to Paul Hamilton who had 40 points; to reduce his handicap down to 18.8. The winner of the nine hole stableford competition was Ian Baird who had a score of 16 points. Saturday, 19 August This week's Saturday competition was a board competition with the Roberts Bowl being competed for by 140 players, with a mixed bag of weather to say the least! The winner was Roy Delooze who had a great score of 79 - 13 = 66 nett; to win by one stroke and reduce his handicap down to 11.0. Runner up was Stephen Lloyd who shot a 76 - 9 = 67 nett, which reduced his handicap down to 8.0. Third place went to Jerry Hilditch who shot a 73 - 4 = 69 nett; to reduce his handicap down to 3.1. Fourth place went to Stuart Monro who shot a 75 - 6 = 69 nett; to lose out on a card playoff and to reduce his handicap down to 5.1. Fifth place went to Paul Harrison who had a 73 - 4 = 69 nett; to also miss out on a card playoff but reduce his handicap down to 3.9. Sixth place went to Steve Daniels who shot a 75 - 5 = 70 nett; to reduce his handicap down to 4.8. Seventh place went to Steve Tetlow who shot a 77 - 7 = 70 nett; to miss out on a card playoff, but reducing his handicap down to 6.0.
