Sunday 29th June - Charity Am-Am
19 teams entered this year's competition with a shotgun start in the afternoon. Good weather throughout the day ensured everything ran smoothly, and it was a closely contested competition with the top 4 teams all having 84 Points, only separated by a card playoff.
The winners were Walter Winstanley, Judith Brown, Peter Davies & Margaret Davies. Runners up were Mr Vice Captain Steve Collier, Chris Collier, John Campbell & Dot Campbell. Third place went to Paul McGarry, Iain Gourlay, Steve Daniels & Ron Birchall. We would like to thanks all the juniors that helped out to do "buy a drive" with all proceeds going to the Captain's charity. Also to Elaine for her help in the halfway house. Thanks also to Tracy for organising a fantastically well run event. Finally, to Matt and his catering staff for putting on a great 3 course meal.

Sunday 6th July - Club Championship Scratch 36 Hole
29 players took part in this year's Club Championship, which is the largest entry in my time here.
The leader after the morning round was fourteen year old Ben Wallis with a fantastic three under par 68 and leading the trio of Guy Hindle, Gareth Carroll and Mike Haselden by three shots.
Then the excitement continued in the afternoon. The result was closely contested on the back nine with Mike Haselden having a hole in one on the 16th! After the 36 holes there was a tie between Guy Hindle and Ben Wallis on 141.
After 3 playoff holes Guy triumphed for what was his 15th Scratch Prize.
Congratulations Guy.
