Sunday, 8th October This week’s Sunday Stableford had 17 players competing. The winner was James Walsh with a fantastic score of 41 points to reduce his handicap down to 4.6. Closely followed by Bradley Read with a score of 40 points to reduce his handicap down to -0.7. Third place was Stephen Langley with a score of 39 points to reduce his handicap down to 9.0. Fourth place was Anton Johnson with a score of 37 points. Tuesday, 10th October This week’s Ladies Stableford had 41 players competing. The winner of Division one was Yvonne Potter with a score of 33 points. Closely followed by Marie Stacey with a score of 32 points. The winner of Division two was Lena O’Connor with a score of 32 points. Runner up was Julia Hesketh with a score of 30 points. Thursday, 12th October This week’s Yellow tee Stableford had 75 players competing. Congratulations to Roy Delooze and Andrew Mason with scores of 41 points however Roy pipped Andrew on a card playoff to take the top spot. Roy’s handicap has been reduced to 10.3 and Andrew’s has been reduced to 12.5. Third Place was Graham Hartley with a score of 39 points to reduce his handicap down to 9.1. Fourth place was Gareth Walter with a score of 38 points reducing his handicap to 7.0. Fifth place was Mr Captain with a score of 38 points reducing his handicap to 8.4. The 9 hole yellow tee Stableford had six players competing. Congratulations to Jim Gray with a score of 35 points to win by one shot. Saturday, 14th October This week’s competition was the return of the Captains v Vice Captains Better ball Stableford. The day was split into two halves with a morning shotgun start and an afternoon shotgun start. Following Victory for Mr Captain first time around earlier on in the year, Mr Vice Captain was seeking revenge. Mr Vice Captain comfortably won the morning session 14.5 points to 8.5 points. The winners of the Better ball competition for the day were David Oakes and Phil Williams with a fantastic score of 47 points. Runners up were Paul Swift and James Edwards with 45 points. Third place were Stephen Titchard and Paul Harrison with 45 points. With Mr Vice captain taking the morning session by storm, Mr Captain had it all to play for in the afternoon.
After a great fight back from Mr Captain winning the afternoon by 13 points to 8, sadly it wasn’t to be with Mr Vice Captain winning by a single point to take overall victory by 22.5 points to 21.5. A special mention to Julian Hardiman making an eagle 2 on the 1st hole.
Sunday, 15th October This week’s Sunday Strokeplay had 16 players competing. The winner was Alex Mills who had a great score of 77 - 9 = 66 Nett reducing his handicap to 8.6. Runner up was Stephen O’Brien with a good score of 79-10=69 Nett deucing his handicap to 9.7. Third Place was Mark Wilding with a score of 74-3=71 nett with his handicap staying the same at 3.1. This week’s Junior Sunday Stableford was won by Tom Swift with a great score of 42 points reducing his handicap by 2.1 shots to 26.4. Tuesday, 17th October This week’s Ladies Club Trophy was a par competition which had 44 players competing. Congratulations to the winner Fiona Goddard with a score of +1, narrowly beating runner up Ann Taylor who also had a score of +1. Third place was Bridget Gray with a score of 0. Fourth place was Pat Maycock with a score of 0. |
