Tuesday 5th August
44 ladies competed in the Ladies 5th Club this week with the format being a Bogey competition. The winner of Division 1 was Dot Campbell who had a great score of 4 Up. Runner up was Anne Hewitson with a score of 3 Up. The winner of Division 2 was Jo Baldwin who also managed a score of 1 Up. Runner up on a card playoff was Lady Captain Morag Hales who had a score of All Square. Division 3 winner was Janet Jagan who had a good score of 2 Up. Runner up was Joanne Reynolds with a score of All Square. The winner of the 9 hole competition was Doris Dickenson with a score of 14 Stableford Points.
Thursday 7th August
73 players turned out in this week's Thursday Roll Up with the format being a White Tee Medal. The winner was Jim Edwards who had a great score of 65 Nett, which was just enough on a card playoff, and as a result reduced his handicap down to 10.8. Runner up went to Jack Lewis who also managed a 65 Nett. Third place went to Kevin O'Neill who had a 66 Nett. Fourth place went to Dave Trickett who managed a score of 68 Nett. Fifth place was decided on a card playoff after six players had a 69 Nett but Bill Oxley had the best back nine to take the final spot in the prizes.
Saturday 9th August
This week's Saturday competition was a Monthly Medal & Isherwood Qualifier with 172 players competing. There were lots of great scores and the winner of Division 1 was Bryan Worrall with a fantastic score of 71 - 5 = 66 Nett. This meant that Bryan reduced his handicap down to 4.9. Runner up was Steve Carroll managed a score of 74 - 7 = 67 Nett. Third place went to Adam Mantle who had a great score of 72 - 4 = 68, with Adam doing just enough on the back nine to fight off 2 other players into the prizes. Division 2 was won by Tony Marsden who had a score of 83 - 16 = 67 Nett, which meant that Tony reduced his handicap down to 14.9. Runner up spot went to Dave Cornwell who managed a score of 84 - 16 = 68 Nett. Third place went to David Frangleton who managed a score of 84 - 15 = 69 which was enough on a card playoff to fend off another 3 players who also had a 69 Nett.
