Thursday 28th June This week’s competition was a Yellow tee Stableford. Congratulations to the winner, George Kane scoring a great score of 41 points. In second place was Matt McKay also scoring 41 points. There was a three-way tie with 40 points, however Reg Pritchard came out on top to take third place, Tony Salt in fourth place and Arnie Lewis in fifth place. 9 Hole Yellow Tee Stableford
Congratulations to the man in form Jim Edwards on winning the 9 Hole stableford with a great score of 19 points. In second place was Clive Aldred with 17 points and in third place with 16 points was Les Ashcroft. Saturday 30th June
This week’s competition was an individual Stableford. Congratulations to Division one winner Jim Edwards, not only scoring 44 points, he also managed a Hole in One on the 9th Hole (drinks on Jim). In second place with 40 points was Bryan Worrall and in third place also with 40 points was Matt Bromley. Division two winner with a great score of 41 points was Denis Walker. In second place was Joe Capstick with 38 points and in third place with 37 points was John Mulligan.

This Sunday was the prestigious Club Championship, where 38 single figure handicappers battled it out for 36 holes to be reigned Champion of Warrington Golf Club.
It was a great start to the first round for the leader Guy Hindle shooting a great score of Gross 68, which gave the 15 time winner a two shot lead over Mike Haselden and a four shot lead from Mark Tate in third place. The second round proved costly to Guy Hindle as he scored a gross 74, which opened the door for Mark Tate, who shot a fantastic final round of 69 gross to clinch a one shot victory and win the Club Championship for the first time in his career.
Congratulations to Mark Tate on winning the Club Championship and well done to all the competitors who played.
Monday 2nd July This week’s ladies competition was the first round of the Ladies Cup, which is a medal event played over two days. After a great score of Nett 70, Sarah Loy was leading the field going into day two. In second place only one shot behind her was Jennifer Hart with a Nett 71 and in third place was Marie Stacey two shots behind with a Nett 72. The second round was won by Ann Taylor who shot a Nett 69. In second place was Edwina Greenwood with a Nett 70 and in third place was Judith Brown also with a Nett 70. However, the first round leader (Sarah Loy) did enough over the two rounds with a total of 172 to become victorious narrowly pipping Liz Faulkner to top spot by one shot.
Congratulations to Sarah Loy on Winning the Ladies Cup and well done to all the ladies who competed in the event.
