Tuesday 9th September
This week's ladies competition was the Club Final & Subsidiary with the format being a bogey competition. 37 ladies competed and the winner of the Club Final was Lady Captain Morag Hales with a fantastic score of 6 Up. This reduced Morag's handicap down from 21 to 19. Congratulations. Runner up was Liz Faulkner who had a score of 4 Up. Third place was decided on a card playoff as both Di Scholes & Jo Baldwin both had 3 Up but Di did enough on the back nine to take third place. The winner of the Subsidiary competition was Liz Hatton who had a score of 1 up. The winner of the 9 hole competition was Kay Sutton with a score of 15 Stableford Points.
Thursday 11th September
This week's Thursday competition was a Stableford played off the Yellow Tees with 78 players competing in the good weather. The winner, a man in some serious form, with a fantastic score of 43 Points was Roger Richards. This follows on from a third place in last week's Monthly Medal and this subsequently meant that Roger received a 1 shot exceptional scoring reduction taking his handicap down to 6.6. Congratulations Roger. Runner up went to John Goulding who managed a very good score of 42 Points and did enough on the back nine to beat Chris Gray into third place on a card playoff. Fourth place went Connor McGregor who had a 40 Points. Fifth place went to Will Mackay who managed 39 Points. Will also did enough on the back nine holes to beat two other players on a card playoff somewhat helped his first ever hole in one on the 13th Hole! Will has been made aware that he has another 15 to go until he has caught up with his father's record! The winner of the 9 hole competition was Andy Wadbrook-McClay with 14 Points.
Saturday 13th September
This week's Saturday competition was an Individual Strokeplay. 171 players turned out and he winner of Division 1 was Iain Gourlay with a great score of 72 Gross 68 Nett. Iain as a result reduced his handicap down to 3.4. A close runner up was Andy Gordon who had an 80 Gross 68 Nett to lose out to Iain on a card playoff. Third place was also decided by a card playoff between two players, with David Lynas having the best back nine in his 79 Gross 69 Nett. The winner of Division 2 was Ian Heseltine with an 86 Gross 68 Nett to win by one stroke. Ian as a result reduced his handicap down to 17.1 following this score. Runner up was Tony James who had an 84 Gross 69 Nett. Third place went to John Banks who had an 87 Gross 69 Nett to lose out to Tony on a card playoff.
