Tuesday 14th October - Stableford
Slightly better weather conditions resulted in a full field of ladies to play in the final counting competition of the season.
Division 1 winner was Ann Unsworth (hcp12) with 39 points. Ann reduced her handicap to 11. Division 2 winner was Sue Tranter (hcp22) with 34 points, and 3rd Division winner was Barbara Young (hcp36) with 34 points.
The winner of the 9 hole competition was Gay Tole.
Thursday 16th October
Thursday's competition was a white tee medal and some good scores were recorded. Mark Hunter (hcp11) was overall winner with 65 nett. Mark reduced his handicap by 1 shot to 10. In 2nd place was Carl Briggs (hcp4) with a 67 nett and Iain Gourlay (hcp4) came 3rd with a 69 nett. In overall 4th place was Rob Bates (hcp11) who also reduced his handicap by 1 shot to 10 after a scoring a nett 70. 5th place was Steve Hesketh (hcp 22) who had a 71 nett.
Saturday 18th October
The Monthly medal was played on Saturday with over 150 competitors. Division 1 winner was Stephen Tetlow (hcp6) with a 68 nett. Steve reduced his handicap by 1 shot to 5. Phil Rylance (hcp14) was in 2nd position with a 70 nett after narrowly beating Paul Cook (hcp9) also with nett 70 on a card play-off.
Division 2 winner was John Hopkins (hcp15) with 70 nett. John reduced his handicap by 1 shot to 14. In 2nd place was Dennis Walker (hcp16) with 71 nett and 3rd place was Dave Cornwell (hcp15) with 72 nett.
Whilst we have enjoyed a very warm late summer, the wet and windy weather has already appeared. Make sure that you are well prepared for all weather conditions.
