Competition news

Thursday, 16 May

This week’s competition was a white tee Medal. Congratulations to Chris Daintith on shooting a great score of nett 67. In second place was Stuart Lunn with a good score of nett 68. In third was Mike Goulden with a nett 69, and in fourth was Will Mackay with a nett 70.

9-Hole Competition

Congratulations to Tony Shaw on winning with a great score of 20 points, beating Martin Bazeley in a card playoff. In third place was Mike Reid with 19 points.

Saturday, 18 May

This week’s competition was the May Monthly Medal & Isherwood Qualifier. Congratulations to Division one winner Greg Osborne with a fantastic score of nett 66, gross 69. In second place was Mark Radcliffe with a great score of nett 67, and in third place with a nett 68 was Sam Harper.

Congratulations to the overall and Division two winner Lloyd Savage with a fantastic score of nett 66. In second place with a nett 66 was Daniel McIntyre, and in third with a score of nett 68 was Frank Todd.

Sunday, 19 May

This week’s competition was a white tee Stableford. Congratulations to Dom O’Brien winning with a great score of 40 points. In second place with a score of 39 points was Paul J Robinson.

The return of the Men’s Invitation which was a Betterball competition. Congratulations to Ken Newcombe and Paul Sherrington with a great score of nett 47. In second place with a good score of nett 46 was Steve Daniels and Peter Rogers. In third place was Mike Holden and Jon Worsnop with a good score of nett 46.

Get a grip at Warrington GC

Now is a fantastic time to come in and get fitted for with the new Golf Pride align grips.

Most overlooked club in the bag?

Thankfully, the penny has dropped when it comes to the importance of getting custom fitted for a new driver or set of irons. Unfortunately, we still see the vast majority of golfers overlook this process when it comes to their fairway woods, but why?
