Tuesday 4th November - Ladies Betterball Stableford

This week's competition was a Betterball Stableford with 48 ladies taking part. The overall winners with 39 points were Ann Unsworth & Gizelle Stockton. In 2nd position was Anne Hewitson & Lena O'Connor with 38 points.

Thursday 6th November - Mid Week Stableford

31 players braved the windy and wet conditions to compete in the Thursday Stableford played off the yellow tees. In overall 1st position was Darren Jones (hcp21) with 40 points. Darren reduced his handicap by 2 shots to 19. In 2nd place was Ian Cairns (hcp6) with 38 points. In 3rd place was Gordon Whittaker (hcp21) with 36 points who narrowly beat John Leigh (hcp13) on a card playoff who also had 36 points. Brian Hillas (hcp16) was overall 5th place with 34 points.

Saturday 8th November - Remembrance Trophy

Despite poor weather forecast, 139 competitors took part in the Remembrance Trophy. There was some exceptional scoring with three players scoring a 65 nett. Don Ward (hcp18) was the overall winner of the competition with a 65 nett on a card playoff. Don reduced his handicap by 2 shots to 16. In second position was Ralph Leigh (hcp22) who also scored 65 nett and reduced his handicap also by 2 shots to 20 narrowly beating Tony James (hcp14) 65 nett. Tony reduced his handicap to 13. In overall 4th place was Tony Osbourne (hcp5) with a 67 nett who also won on a card playoff from Chris Dunn (hcp3) who scored 67 nett.
