Tuesday 3rd February
46 ladies competed in a Stableford held over 13 holes. The winner was Sue Murphy who managed a great score of 31 Points. Runner up spot went to Yvonne Potter who had a score of 27 Points. Third place went to Pam White who managed 26 Points. The 7 hole competition was won by Tricia Jones who had 11 Points.
Thursday 5th February
This week's Thursday competition had 36 entrants. The format was a yellow tee stableford with it only being played over 13 holes due to snow on the remaining holes. The winner with a very good score of 31 Points was Bill Oxley who managed 31 Points to win by a single point. Runner up went to Mike Alcock who had 30 Points. Third place went to Mike Ashcroft who managed 28 Points over the 13 holes. Fourth place went to Iain Gourlay who had 27 Points and took it on a card playoff. Fifth place went to Ralph Leigh who also had 27 Points and lost out to Iain on fourth place in the card playoff but beat Arthur Brown on a card playoff to get in the prizes.
Saturday 7th February
Thankfully due to the hard work of the greenstaff, the course was fully open with 18 holes in play. 161 players competed in the Waltz Stableford this week. The winning team consisted of Bert Rigby, Steve Ball, Brian Hillas & Stan Marrs who had a good score of 86 Points. The runners up were Malcolm Haigh, Roger Richards, John Warren & John Mulligan with a score of 85 Points. Third place went to Tony Burke, Joe Capstick, Ray Moor & Eric Payton who had a score of 82 Points. Fourth place went to Iain Gourlay, John McGlough, Keith Rodgers & Ian Cairns who had 80 Points and they beat one other team on a card playoff.
