Knockout Entries
A reminder that entries are now being taken in the Pro shop for the following knockout competitions for the upcoming season:
- Men's: Match Prize & Swinton Trophy
- Mixed: Scott Trophy
- Ladies: Lyon Trophy and Sloane Bowl.
Competitions
Tuesday 24th February
46 ladies competed in a Singles Stableford competition this week held over 13 holes. The winning was Rhona Banks who managed to score of 24 Points. Runner up spot went to Sue Tranter who Thursday 26th February
This week's Thursday Yellow tee competition only had 19 entrants due again to poor weather. The winner was Dave McCabe who managed a great score of 40 Points win by 4 points. Runner up went to Dave Holt who had 36 Points. Third place went to Mark Wilding who had 34 Points and took it on a card playoff from Fourth placed Mike Alcock who had 34 Points. Fifth place went to John Evans with 33 Points. Due to the small size of the field there were no Thursday winter handicap reductions this week.
Saturday 28st February
This week's Saturday competition was a Minus 2 Team Stableford with 156 players competing. The winning team consisted of the returning talent Liam Mchugh who along with Alex Howard, Ben Ditchfield and Steve Howard had an unbelievable score of 95 Points to win by 8 points. In second place were Richard Hamilton , Andy Hilditch, Jerry Hilditch and Steve Fathers who had a score of 87 Points along with three other groups but edged it on a card playoff. Third place went to the team of Geoff Cox, Walter Winstanley, Nigel Tudor and Mike Durkin who also had 87 Points. The fourth spot went to Alan Horne, Dave Mchugh, Derek Mchugh and Bryan Worrall who also had 87 Points..
The shop sale is coming to a close as the 2015 ranges of clothing, bags, shoes and clubs arrive. Make sure you avoid disappointment by calling in ASAP.
