Knockout Entries

A reminder that entries are now being taken in the Pro Shop for the following knockout competitions for the upcoming season:

• Men's: Match Prize & Swinton Trophy
• Mixed: Scott Trophy
• Ladies: Lyon Trophy and Sloane Bowl

Tuesday 10th March

This week's Ladies Competition was a Special 3's Stableford. The winners were Anne Hewitson, Sarah Loy and Ann Taylor with 70 points. Runners up were Lady Captain Jean Warburton, Fiona Davies and Shirley Warner with 64 points. The 2's competition was won by Barbara Booth with a 2 at the 9th hole. Finally the nine hole competition was won by Joyce Dennis.

Thursday 12th March

This week's Thursday Yellow tee competition had 59 entrants. The winner was John Warren who managed 40 Points. Runner up went on a card playoff to Carl Briggs with 39 Points. Third place went to Arthur Brown who also had 39 Points and took it on a card playoff from Fourth placed Ken Morgan again with 39 Points. Fifth place went to David Lynas with 38 Points after another card playoff.

Saturday 14th March

This week's Saturday competition was a Betterball Stableford which was a drawn competition with 160 players competing. The winning pair were Adam Prinsep and Captain Steve Collier with 42 Points to win on a card playoff. In second place were Shaun Russell and Steve Lloyd who also had a score of 42 Points. Third place went to Jonh Banks and Mike Alcock who had 41 Points. The fourth spot went to Phil Wilkinson and John Isherwood who also had 41 Points. Finally in fifth place were Geoff Cox and Mike Durkin again with 41 points.
