Tuesday 7th April
This week's ladies competition was a Stableford with 40 players competing. The winner of Division 1 was Judith Brown who had 32 Points and best three other ladies on a card playoff as they also had 32 Points. Runner up went to Dot Campbell who also had 32 Points. The winner of Division 2 was Elaine Jenkins who had a great score of 37 Points which reduced her handicap down to 27.4. Runner up was Elaine Bilton who managed 34 Points and did just enough on her back nine on a card playoff as Rosemary Murphy also had the same score. The winner of Division 3 was Pauline Goulden who had 33 Points. Runner up spot went to Jill Evans who 32 Points which beat Jane Sands on a card playoff after Jane also had 32 Points. The winner of the nine hole competition was Gwyneth Parry who had 14 Points.
Thursday 9th April
This week's Thursday Yellow tee competition was played in glorious conditions with 94 entrants. With the good weather scoring was very good with a score in the 40's required to get into the prizes! The winner was David McHugh who managed a great score of 43 Points. Runner up went to Joe Quinn who had 42 Points. Third place went to David Holt who had 41 Points. Fourth place went to Howard Banister who had 40 Points. Fifth place went to Keith Rodgers after also having 40 Points but losing out to Howard in the card playoff.
Saturday 11th April
This week's Saturday competition was an Individual Stableford with a large field of 198 players competing in relatively chilly and windy weather. The winner was Andy Gordon who had a great score of 43 Points to win by one point. Runner up spot was taken by Andrew Mackenzie who had a score of 42 Points. Third place went to Matt Penswick who had 40 Points. Fourth place went to Steven Carroll who also had 40 Points but lost out to Matt on a card playoff. Fifth place went to Dave Allen who had 39 Points. Sixth place went to Richard Evans who lost out on a card playoff after also having 39 Points. Seventh place went to Andy Lockwood who had 38 Points. Eighth and final place went to a man in form Mark Wilding who also had 38 Points and lost out to Andy on a card playoff but beat five other players who also had 38 Points.
Junior Captain's Drive In
Sunday 5th April saw the drive in of the new Junior Captain Ben Wallis off the 11th tee. Ben managed a very respectable 250 yards even if it did go slightly left and finish on the 18th fairway. Well done Ben.
