Tuesday 28th April
This week's ladies competition was the Irene Mayne Trophy which is a board competition with a medal as the format. 60 ladies competed with the winner being Pat Peters who had a great score of 68 Nett to win by two shots. This score reduced Pat's handicap down to 32.6. Runner up went to Elaine Jenkins who managed a 70 Nett, reducing her handicap down to 25.8. Third place went to Rosemary Murphy who had a score of 74 Nett. Fourth place went to Anne Smith who also had 74 Nett but lost out to Rosemary on a card playoff. The winner of the 9 hole stableford competition was Sylvia Bennett who had 17 Points to win by two points.
Thursday 30th April
This week's Thursday competition was a yellow tee stableford with 102 players competing. The winner was John Mulligan who had a fantastic score of 44 Points to win it on a card playoff. John reduced his handicap down to 18.0 following this round. Runner up, after losing out in the card playoff, was Carl Briggs who shot a brilliant 44 Points off his handicap of 4. This reduced his handicap down to 3.7. Third place went to Greg Osborne who had 43 Points reducing his handicap down to 11.0. Fourth spot went to Jake Hibbert who managed 42 Points to reduce his handicap down to 6.1. Fifth place went to Chris Webster who had 41 Points, reducing his handicap to 4.1.
Saturday 2nd May
This week's Saturday competition was the Monthly Medal & Isherwood qualifier for May with 182 players competing in blustery conditions. The winner of Division 1 was Paul Swift who had a very good 75 - 6 = 69. This reduced his handicap down to 5.6. Runner up was a man in form Carl Briggs who had a 73 - 4 = 69 to lose out on a card playoff but reducing his handicap down to 3.3. Third place went to David Dixon who had an 80 - 11 = 69 to also miss out in the card playoff but reduce his handicap down to 9.9. Fourth place went to Connor McGregor who had a 78 - 8 = 70 reducing his handicap down to 6.9. The winner of Division 2 was Ian Porter with a great score of 84 - 18 = 66 to win the division by three shots! Ian reduced his handicap down to 16.1. Runner up went to Mike Verdon who had an 84 - 15 = 69 to reduce his handicap down to 14.2. Third place went to Ian Heseltine who had a 91 - 18 = 73. Fourth place went to Tony Burke who had an 89 - 16 = 73 to lose out on a card playoff.
