The entry ticket and raffle tickets sold raised a total of £1300 which is to be split between two nominated charities. Lady Captain's Charity for 2014 is The Warrington Food Bank. This is an independent charity who have been established to assist those people who have struggled over the past few years during the economic downturn. The Genesis Breast Cancer Prevention Centre, based at Wythenshawe Hospital is the charity nominated by The Professionals' Shop who continue to work tirelessly towards finding a cure for an illness which has affected so many.

The event was hosted by Debra Franks from the shop, ably assisted by DJ Ben Spanton. Sue Greenhalgh lady member from Warrington worked very hard coaching the models who were all, with the exception of one, were lady members from Warrington Golf Club. Thanks go to the models for working so hard to present a very professional show and also to Lady Captain and Gizelle Stockton for selling raffle tickets at the event. Thanks also go to Fiona and Emily Mackay who welcomed all our visitors and then also doubled up as assistants to the models as they changed their outfits.

Old shoes can be just as costly as wrong equipment

Worn golf shoes are dangerous, quite literally. Not only do you risk taking a tumble with tatty shoes, but with balance compromised, what chance does your swing have? You could be nicely fitted for the best clubs but with traction a problem that could all be in vain.
