Monday 6th July & Tuesday 7th July

52 ladies competed on the Monday of this two day competition in wet weather. The winner of Day 1 was Anne Smith with a 94-20=74. Sheena Heseltine finished runner up with an 84-10=74 to miss out on a card playoff. Third place went to Sharon Healey who had an 81-7=74 to also miss out on a card playoff.

50 ladies competed on the Tuesday, once again in poor weather conditions. The winner of Day 2 was Anne Greenhough who had an 81-6=75. Runner up was Sharon Healey with an 82-7=75 to miss out on a card playoff. Third place was Paula Hodkinson who had a 94-17=77.

The winner overall of the Ladies Cup was Sharon Healey who had a nett 149 over the two days. Congratulations go to Sharon who reduced her handicap down to 6.0 as a result. Runner up went to Anne Smith who finished with a Nett 151 to reduce her handicap down to 19.5. Third place overall went to Anne Greenhough who managed a nett 152 which reduced her handicap down to 5.6. The best gross over the two days went to Sharon Healey who had 163 overall.

Thursday 9th July

This week's Thursday Yellow Stableford competition was another popular one with 107 players competing. The winner was junior Dan Jones who had a fantastic score of 43 Points to win on a card playoff and to reduce his handicap down to 14.4 after receiving an exceptional scoring reduction. Runner up and missing out on the card playoff was another junior Dom O'Brien who had the same score as Dan to reduce his handicap down to 4.9. Third place went to Julian Hurst who also had a score of 43 Points to miss out on the card playoff but reduce his handicap down to 1.3. Fourth place went to John Culleton who also had 43 Points, to also miss out on a card playoff but reduce his handicap down to 11.3. Fifth place went to Mike Goulden who had 42 Points to reduce his handicap down to 9.9 after also receiving an exceptional scoring reduction. It is also worth mentioning that David J Hamilton also received an exceptional handicap reduction after having a score of 41 Points reducing his handicap down to 11.4.

Saturday 11th July

This week's Saturday competition was a board competition with the Lyon Trophy being competed for by 198 players. The winner was John Darbyshire who had a great score of 78 - 13 = 65 to win on a card playoff and reduce his handicap down to 11.3. Congratulations go to John. Runner up was Jack Lewis who shot a 69 - 4 = 65 to lose out to John on a card playoff but reduce his handicap down to 3.0. Third place went to Jake Hibbert who shot a 72 - 5 = 67 to reduce his handicap down to 4.7. Fourth place went to Ian Hawkins who shot an 84 - 17 = 67 to miss out on a card playoff but reduce his handicap down to 15.7. Fifth place went to Connor McGregor who had a 75 - 7 = 68 to win a cad playoff and reduce his handicap down to 6.6. Sixth place went to Derek McHugh who shot a 70 - 2 = 68 to lose out to Connor on a card playoff but reduce his handicap down to 2.0. Seventh place went to Peter Richmond who shot a 91 - 23 = 68 to also miss out in the card playoff but reducing his handicap down to 21.9. Eighth and final spot went to Mark Hunter who shot a 78 - 9 = 69 to beat six other players also with 69 Nett on a card playoff, which reduced his handicap down to 8.2. The lowest gross went to Guy Hindle who shot a 70.
