Tuesday 14th July
This week's ladies competition was the St. Andrews Medal with 50 ladies competing. The winner of Division 1 was Liz Faulkner who had 81 - 9 = 72 to reduce her handicap down to 8.9. Runner up went to Jennifer Hart who had 85 - 11 = 74 to beat two other ladies on a card playoff. The winner of Division 2 was Julia Hesketh who had a score of 94 - 22 = 72 which reduced her handicap down to 21.1. Runner up was Sue Murphy who had 98 - 23 = 75. The winner of Division 3 was Ann Alcock who had 100 - 31 = 69 to reduce her handicap down to 28.9. Runner up spot went to Gill Clare who had a 107 - 30 = 77. The winner of the nine hole competition was Catherine Dixon who had 19 Points to reduce her handicap down to 28.8.
Thursday 16th July
This week's Thursday white tee strokeplay competition had 115 players competing. The winner was Charlie Loy who had a fantastic score of 67 - 0 = 67 to win on a card playoff and to reduce his handicap down to +0.3. Runner up and missing out on the card playoff was Les Ashcroft who had a score of 84 - 17 = 67 to reduce his handicap down to 15.8. Third place went to recent club champion Mike Haselden who had a score of 67 + 1 = 68 to reduce his handicap down to +1.1. Fourth place went to Richard Hamilton who had a 76 - 7 = 69 to reduce his handicap down to 6.3. Fifth place went to Ian Cairns who had a score of 75 - 6 to miss out on a card playoff but reduce his handicap down to 5.7. The winner of the 9 hole stableford competition off the yellow tees was John Campbell who had 19 Points to reduce his handicap down to 16.1.
Saturday 18th July
This week's Saturday competition was the Monthly Medal & Isherwood Qualifier with 180 players competing. The winner of Division 1 was Martin Jenkins who shot a 79 - 11 = 68 to win on a card playoff over four other players to reduce his handicap to 10.3. Runner up was Trevor Rigby who missed out on the card playoff after having a 78 - 10 = 68 to reduce his handicap down to 9.0. Third place went to Mike Haselden who shot a 67 + 1 = 68 to also miss out on the card playoff and reduce his handicap down again to +1.5. Fourth place went to Alan Tranter who had a score of 75 - 7 = 68 to miss out on the card playoff but reduced his handicap down to 6.5. The winner of Division 2 was Lester Scott who had a great score of 87 - 20 = 67 to win the overall monthly medal and reduce his handicap down to 18.0. Runner up was David Allen who shot an 87 - 19 = 68 to reduce his handicap down to 18.1. Third place went to Keith Ditchfield who shot an 87 - 18 = 69 to reduce his handicap down to 17.2. Fourth place went to Graham Adcroft who shot an 83 - 13 = 70 to reduce his handicap down to 12.5.
