Tuesday 21st July
This week's ladies competition was the Ladies Stableford & Macmillan with 48 ladies competing. The winner of Division 1 was Fiona Goddard who had a great score of 39 Points to reduce her handicap down to 11.3. Runner up went to Di Scholes who had 36 Points. The winner of Division 2 was Marie Stacey who had a score of 38 Points which reduced her handicap down to 20.1. Runner up was Carolyn Smith who had 36 Points. The winner of Division 3 was last week's winner Ann Alcock who had 38 Points to reduce her handicap down again to 28.0. Runner up spot went to Joanne Reynolds who had 36 Points. The winner of the nine hole competition was last week's 9 hole winner Catherine Dixon who had 15 Points.
Thursday 23rd July
This week's Thursday competition had 124 players competing with the format being a yellow tee stableford. There were many fantastic scores that won't even get a mention this week! The winner was Gary O'Neill who had an almost unbelievable score of 49 Points!!! This ridiculous score reduced his handicap down to 9.7. Runner up was Iain Gourlay whose great score of 44 Points was made to look distinctly average by Gary's score which reduced his handicap down to 4.6. Third place went to John Peters who had a great score of 43 Points to reduce his handicap down to 7.0. Fourth place went to Tony Collinge who also had 43 Points to reduce his handicap down to 22.6 but miss out on a card playoff for third place. Fifth place went to Mark Wilding who had a score of 42 Points to beat three other players on a card playoff which reduced his handicap down to 4.4. An extra mention and congratulations go to Noel Kelly who received an exceptional scoring reduction after having 41 Points which after the reduction took his handicap down to 13.4.
Saturday 25th July
This week's Saturday competition was a board competition with the Roberts Bowl being competed for by 180 players. The winner was Charles Asbury who had a great score of 76 - 11 = 65 to win by one stroke and reduce his handicap down to 8.9 after receiving an exceptional scoring reduction. Congratulations go to Charles. Runner up was Brian Jamson who shot a 76 - 10 = 66 which reduced his handicap down to 8.8. Third place went to Tony Osborne who shot a 71 - 5 = 66 to lose out on second place on a card playoff but reduce his handicap down to 4.5. Fourth place went to Richard Wilkinson who shot a 79 - 12 = 67 to win on a card playoff and to reduce his handicap down to 10.9. Fifth place went to Martin Chatten who had an 80 - 13 = 67 to miss out on a card playoff but reduce his handicap down to 11.8. Sixth place went to John Banks who shot an 84 - 17 = 67 to also lose out on a card playoff but reduce his handicap down to 15.9. Seventh place went to Tony Marsden who shot an 83 - 15 = 68 reducing his handicap down to 14.2. Eighth and final spot went to Ken Bradley who shot a 77 - 9 = 68 to lose out on seventh place on a card playoff but beat two other players also with a 68 Nett on a card playoff, which reduced his handicap down to 7.7. The lowest gross went to Dan Young who shot a 71.
