Tuesday 6th October
This week's ladies competition was a Stableford which had 52 ladies playing. The winner of Division 1 was a lady in form Anne Smith! Anne had a very good score of 39 Points to reduce her handicap down to 18.4. Runner up went to Jennifer Hart who had a score of 36 Points to reduce her handicap down to 11.1. The winner of Division 2 was Joanne Baldwin who had a good score of 38 Points which reduced her handicap down to 21.4. The runner up was Sue Tranter who managed 36 Points to reduce her handicap down to 20.8. The winner of Division 3 was Barbara Whitfield who had a score of 34 Points. Runner up went to Shirley Warner who had a score of 33 Points. Seven ladies entered the nine hole stableford competition with Joyce Dennis being the winner with a score of 10 Points.
Thursday 8th October
This week's Thursday competition was a white tee medal with 76 players competing. The winner was Brad Read who had a brilliant score of 66 - 0 = 66 to reduce his handicap down to +0.7. This score included a back nine of 5 under par! Runner up was Iain Gourlay who had a great score of 73 - 5 = 68 to reduce his handicap down to 4.2. Third place went to Adam Mantle who had a score of 71 - 2 = 69 to reduce his handicap down to 1.3. Fourth place went to Frank Todd who had an 83 - 13 = 70 to reduce his handicap down to 13.0. Fifth place went to Malcolm Haigh who had an 85 - 15 = 70 to lose out on a card playoff but reduce his handicap down to 14.5.
Saturday 10th October
This week's Saturday competition was a Medal with 140 competing. The winner of Division 1 was Andrew Rimmer who had a score of 79 - 11 = 68 to win on a card playoff and reduce his handicap down to 10.4. Runner up went to Jerry Hilditch who had a score of 71 - 3 = 68 to miss out in the card playoff but reduce his handicap down to 3.1. Third place went to Ric Arber who shot an 81 - 12 = 69 to reduce his handicap down to 10.9. Fourth place went to Nick Wild who shot a 74 - 5 = 69 to miss out on a card playoff but reduce his handicap down to 5.0. The winner of Division 2 was Mark Lyons who shot an 81 - 14 = 67 to reduce his handicap down to 12.6. Runner up went to Peter Smith who shot an 84 - 15 = 69 to reduce his handicap down to 14.2. Third place went to a man in form Frank Todd who shot an 83 - 13 = 70 for the second time this week to reduce his handicap down to 12.7. Fourth place went to Brian Hillas who beat two other players on a card playoff after having an 87 - 16 = 71 to reduce his handicap down to 15.9. A quick mention for Malcolm Haigh, for the second time this week, after having a hole in one on the 6th hole. Congratulations go to Malcolm.
