Tuesday 13th October
This week's ladies competition was a Medal which had 45 ladies playing. The winner of Division 1 was Marie Stacey who had a good score of 91 - 20 = 71 to reduce her handicap down to 19.6. Runner up went to Liz Faulkner who had a score of 83 - 9 = 74. The winner of Division 2 was Barbara Bradley who had a fantastic score of 89 - 23 = 66 which reduced her handicap down to 20.1. The runner up was Val Floyd who had 101 - 28 = 73. The winner of Division 3 was Shirley Warner who had a score of 103 - 31 = 72 to reduce her handicap down to 30.0. Runner up went to Barbara Young who had a score of 112 - 33 = 79. Four ladies entered the nine hole stableford competition with Gay Tole being the winner with a score of 14 Points.
Thursday 15th October
This week's Thursday competition had 73 players competing with the format being a yellow tee stableford. The winner was Gary O'Neill who had a brilliant score of 43 Points to win by two points. This score reduced Gary's handicap down to 7.6 after receiving an exceptional scoring reduction of 1.0. Runner up was Iain Gourlay who had a score of 41 Points which reduced his handicap down to 3.7. Third place went to Chris Webster who had a score of 40 Points to reduce his handicap down to 3.8. Fourth place went to Greg Ball who also had 40 Points to reduce his handicap down to 14.7 but missed out on a card playoff for third place. Fifth place went to Doug Burke who also had a score of 40 Points after losing out in the card playoff and reduce his handicap down to 22.1.
Saturday 17th October
This Saturday's competition was the rearranged Isherwood Final& Medal which was postponed from a fortnight ago due to thick fog. The winner with a score of 73 - 6 = 67 was David Moreton who managed to win it by two shots. Congratulations go to David for this victory which reduced his handicap down to 5.0. Runner up went to Steve Whitfield who had a score of 75 - 6 = 69 to reduce his handicap down to 5.6. Third place went to James Garside who had an 83 - 13 = 70 to reduce his handicap down to 12.3. Fourth place went to Iain Gourlay a 74 - 4 = 70 to miss out on third place on a card playoff but reduce his handicap down again to 3.6. However Iain did enough on the back nine after beating Bryan Worrall on a card playoff after he also had a 70 Nett.
117 players competed in the Subsidiary Medal alongside the Isherwood Final. The winner was Adam Mannion who had the best score of the day in a 72 - 7 = 65 to reduce his handicap down to 5.5 after receiving an exceptional scoring reduction of 0.5. Runner up was Walter Winstanley who had a very good score of 77 - 11 = 66 to reduce his handicap down to 10.0. Third place went to Derek McHugh who had a great score of 68 - 2 = 66 to miss out on a card playoff but reduce his handicap to 1.9. Fourth place went to Alan Carr who had an 82 - 15 = 67 to reduce his handicap down to 14.2.
