Tuesday 10th November

This week's ladies competition was a Texas Scramble which had 45 ladies playing in teams of three. The winning team was Fiona Davies, Anne Greenhough & Sharon Healey who had a great score of 66.7! The runners up were the team of Bridget Gray, Anne Smith & Shirley Warner who finished with a score of 68.6 to beat another team on a card playoff after they had finished with the exact same score. The winner of the 9 hole individual stableford was Gay Tole who had 8 Points to beat Joyce Dennis on a card playoff.

Thursday 12th November

This week's Thursday competition had 56 players competing in the first non-qualifying Thursday competition of the winter. The winner, on another very windy day, was Dave Moston who had a great score in the conditions of 38 Points to win by two points. This reduced Dave's Thursday winter handicap down to 9.9. Runner up was Keith Graves who had a score of 36 Points which reduced his Thursday winter handicap down to 15.8. Third place went to John Warren who also had a score of 36 Points to miss out on a card playoff to reduce his Thursday winter handicap down to 5.2. Fourth place went to Mike Goulden who had a score of 35 Points. Fifth place went to Graham Scholes who also had a score of 35 Points to beat two other players on a card playoff into the prizes.

Saturday 14th November

This Saturday's competition was an Accumulator Stableford which had 142 golfers competing in teams of 4. The weather was good in the morning but heavy rain came in around lunch time for the afternoon players. The winning team was Chris Tracey, Frank Todd, Steve Tetlow & Gary Glendenning who had a great score of 85 Points to win on a card playoff. The runners up were Tony Burke, Tony James, Ray Moor & Eric Payton who also had 85 Points but lost out on the card playoff. Third place went to Ken Bennett, Graham Hartley, Andrew Rimmer & Terry Taylor who had 84 Points. Fourth place went to Brian Acton, Roy Hilditch, Brian Holbrook & Alf Lawton who had 83 Points.
